Hey all, well it's been over a year without me and Tiff posting anything in our gallery, so it's time for a change, come some time during the next week we will be deleting all our old artwork and posting up lots of new stuff, I feel like I deviated*no pun intended* from my original path of what I wanted to do with Brave Cruel World, so first off I'm changing the title, now that I think about it it doesn't make alot of sense, and secondly this was supposed to be a very dark type of manga and artwork style, I feel we got a little too happy with it and silly like a stereotypical anime all laughs and smiles and joke but that's not what I wanted, so just giving you all a heads up that all the characters looks will be changing and there will be less sunshine and fuzzies, it's not like it's always gonna be dark there will be the typical comic relief just not as much as we been depicting so bare with us as we change our look, and I apologize to anyone that favorited our stuff it's possible you may lose it

Hey All, My god we've been on a long ass hiatus, well we hope this will end soon, with the fact that I, Spike, got a new comp recently I hopefully will get some new stuff up soon so keep an eye out for some submits that will be coming in soon *crossing fingers*

Greetings everyone, I welcome you to our humble little DA account. Oh, you might be wondering why I put 'our' instead of 'my'? Well, the reason is that this is a conjoined account, is because I'm sharing this account with my friend Sean aka Spike, because he doesn't have a scanner to scan his art to post onto his old account, so I offered to scan his pictures and post them onto an account we can both use. Thus the creation of Spike-N-Raine happened, the name coming from his character, Spike and my character Raine... and them being a couple as well.

To avoid any confusion between the two of us:
Raine shall talk in italics
and
Spike shall talk in the normal text

Edit 1:Random change in the journal. I've been thinking on taking commissions for my art (which I doubt people will do) because I need money until I can get and maintain a job. I'll still do free requests of course... the commissions are just for people who feel generous about it.
The thing is... I don't know what to charge for my art because I never felt that my art was good enough to be charged for... So, if anyone who does commissions have any ideas what to charge for my art, please send me a note or put a comment. Please put my rules for requesting and art trades in regard (Commissions will be treated as art trades to me so will be a bit more lenient on). Thank you to any who help. End of edit

Requesting and Art Trading Rules for Raine

1) First rule is to actually READ the rules and not just skim through them!!

2) Picture will more than likely be colored, unless otherwise stated by you or if stated that she’s not going to color.

3) Be descriptive of what you would like drawn, this includes: eyes, hair, skin/fur, clothing, accessories, tattoos, scars, personality, and a brief history perhaps *notes the BRIEF*. ~here comes a word learned in 10th grade~ Extrapolate… meaning explain, or describe further. If you can’t describe what something looks like to good, try to find a picture that best shows what you are trying to extrapolate on. Don’t be simple by saying, “So-and-so has long straight hair.” Say it more like, “So-and-so’s hair goes down to the back of his/her knees.” Or, “So-and-so wears a shirt.” Be more like, “So-and-so wears a light blue tube top with the words “Luv me” in dark blue, round letters.” And so on.

4) Not a requirement, but it will be nice if you included a picture of character(s) for reference.

5) If you do send a pic, don’t send uber big pictures, must be .jpeg or .gif and none of those dollz things or little icon heads. If you have no choice but to send a big pic, send it here: ssj_rhodan@myvejita.every1.net

6) Draws human, anime, anthropomorphic, neko-jin (cat people), chibi, and animalistic characters.

7) When it comes to anthros, will draw almost any kind. Doesn’t have much practice with equines (horses), insects, birds, reptilian, and sea creature type anthros, but is willing to try once, if the outcome doesn’t come out good, will replace with another picture of your choice.

8) Obscene gestures are allowed, so is violence and weapon play (depending on weapon).

9) Accepts group pictures, the max amount of characters in the picture being 5-6, maybe even 8 on rare occasions (like friends, b-days, or a.t. for example). For chibis, the limit is 15-20 (depends on how small chibis are drawn on paper).

10) For couple pictures, I accept the regular, guy with girl, yaoi (guy on guy), and yuri (girl on girl).

11) Again for couple pictures (or more, depending on request), I draw everything except hardcore hentai, scat, unbirthing, vore, anything to do with golden x_x. For “orgy” pics, the limit of characters in it is 5.
* Take note that any mature rated pictures will be posted elsewhere and link will be sent to you via note.

12) Whatever you do, DO NOT claim the art is yours after receiving it!! I will be very upset to find out that you have done so and will refuse to take requests from you ever again.

Art Trade rules
13) I’m a bit more lenient when it comes to art trades as long as you stick to the rules stated above. The number rules I’m more lenient on are: 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11. Numbers 6, 7, 9 and 11 having a bit of an extent to what I’m lenient about. The rules I’m very strict about in both requesting and art trades are 1 and 12!! Be sure to remember that.
14) I believe in “eye for an eye” when it comes to art trades, like if you ask for two characters drawn, I sorta expect you to draw two characters for me. There will be a few exceptions to this rule, for example, if you only color using the comp… I will not be able to do the same, since I do not, here I will recommend that we leave as plain inked images or just settle with me coloring it in colored pencils or some other medium of your choice besides paint. Also, if you want me to draw something more than I normally draw in my requests, like I somehow agree to draw 7 characters in a yiff pic (if you’re an anthro nut like me, you’ll know what this means), you might have to do a little bit more than 7 characters… don’t worry I won’t ask for anything harsh, more than likely it’ll be 7 characters and a small mascot characters *shrugs* More than likely I’ll let it pass and just ask you to draw less than 7 characters and such.
15) For those on DA that don't draw, but write, I also accept fiction trades for my art as well... or even a story if you want, but those aren't as good.
16) To make sure you read all the rules, somewhere on whatever you’re sending your request or art trade on put, “Oh look, a nickel…… *cries* PHILLIP!!!” (Quotation marks optional).
